CHROME and COVEROSS launch heatstroke prevention project

CHROME Industries Japan and the multifunctional apparel brand COVEROSS have launched the “COVEROME” project to address the rising risks of heatstroke and harsh working conditions caused by global warming. The initiative focuses on developing functional gear for outdoor athletes and workers, such as delivery messengers, who are frequently exposed to extreme heat.

A central component of the project is the “8°C Minus” collection, which utilizes specialized materials designed to significantly lower perceived body temperature.

The project includes collaborative actions with specific organizations to improve performance and safety. This includes providing custom models to the professional cycling team SPARKLE OITA in Oita to maintain athletic performance, and creating specialized uniforms for the messenger company Cleocity, based in Yokohama and Tokyo, to enhance employee safety and comfort during outdoor operations.
