Chrudim hosts filming for historical movie Ležáky

Filming for the upcoming movie ‘Ležáky’ is underway, focusing on the tragic history of the Ležáky village and its victims of Nazi persecution. On Sunday, September 13, production will move to Všehrdovo Square in Chrudim to film a combat scene involving a shootout. This segment follows scenes previously filmed directly in Ležáky.

To facilitate the shoot, traffic and parking will be restricted on Všehrdovo Square from 15:00 to 20:00. Residents are advised to use the Municipal Police courtyard for parking. Due to the nature of the combat scenes, citizens may hear simulated gunfire and other sound effects.

Actor Ondřej Kraus, who plays a leading role, expressed his respect for the historical weight of the project. He noted his reliance on director Miloš Pilař, who has extensive knowledge of the subject through his documentary ‘Ležáky 42’. The film, which features authentic props like an old radio, is scheduled for release next year.
