Chrysa Chotzoglou to return to school following ministerial decision

Greek Education Minister Sofia Zacharaki has decided that teacher Chrysa Chotzoglou will return to her school, ending her period of potential inactivity. This decision follows a recommendation from the Primary Disciplinary Council of the PDE Attica, which opposed the continuation of her suspension.

Chotzoglou had previously been placed on potential inactivity by former Education Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis. The original decision cited her involvement in protests, including shouting slogans and causing disturbances, which were viewed as attempts to obstruct the evaluation process of teachers and disrupt the smooth operation of the school unit.

Following her 18-month absence, the 'Unity of Resistance to Overthrow' group has hailed her return as a result of collective action and solidarity. While celebrating her return to the classroom, the group emphasized that the struggle against teacher evaluations and disciplinary actions continues.
