Château Borély hosts Art nouveau and Art déco exhibition in Marseille

Château Borély in Marseille is hosting a new exhibition dedicated to the city's Art nouveau and Art déco decorative arts. Running until April 26, 2027, the exhibition features nearly 180 works that highlight local production during the transition between the 19th and 20th centuries.

The collection includes loans from prestigious national institutions, such as the Musée d'Orsay and the Mobilier National, alongside local treasures. To protect fragile items, particularly textiles, the museum utilizes a rotation system. Recent additions to the display include high fashion pieces such as a Chanel evening gown and garments from the Azzedine Alaïa foundation.
