Château des Marais to reopen to the public in Brittany
The Château des Marais and its 16-hectare park in Hillion, Côtes-d’Armor, are preparing to reopen to the public after being closed for several years. The estate is characterized by lush vegetation, including a 300-year-old eucalyptus tree.
The current neo-Gothic structure was built in the late 19th century on the remains of a 15th-century castle and was partially reconstructed following World War II. The grounds include several outbuildings, such as an old caretaker's house and a dovecote, as well as a consecrated chapel capable of hosting religious services for up to 60 people.
