Chubut athletes win three medals at U16 Argentine Athletics Championship

The Chubut delegation achieved significant success at the U16 Argentine Athletics Championship held in San Luis, securing a total of three medals, including two gold and one bronze.

Valentino Bonelli, representing the CRONO Athletics School from Rada Tilly, won the national title in the 600-meter flat with a time of 1:23.30. Maia Monín from Puerto Madryn earned two medals, becoming the province's most decorated athlete at the event; she secured gold in the 2,400-meter flat with a time of 8:16.04 and bronze in the 600-meter flat with a time of 1:38.91.

The provincial delegation consisted of 20 young athletes. Other notable performances included fourth-place finishes by Ema Gorognano in hammer throw and javelin, and Kanan St Fort Laurent in the steeplechase.
