Chubut authorities investigate discovery of 125 human bone fragments

A resident in Puerto Madryn, Chubut, discovered approximately 125 bone fragments while walking a dog near the Servicoop Reserve. The discovery included a skull and several bags containing various skeletal components identified as human.

Following the report, police and scientific specialists arrived at the scene, located on an alternative route toward National Route 3, to collect evidence. Prosecutor Lautaro Volpi has ordered the seizure of the remains and initiated forensic examinations to determine the origin and circumstances of the deaths. The investigation is currently focused on whether the remains belong to individuals who died recently and if the discovery is linked to criminal activity.
