Chubut government funds four scientific research projects
The Chubut provincial government has announced financial support to ensure the continuity of four scientific research projects. This measure, implemented through the Secretariat of Science and Technology, aims to assist four professionals currently awaiting a resolution from CONICET regarding their official incorporation into the scientific career path.
The funding is scheduled to run from September 14 until December 31, 2026. In addition to their research, the participating professionals will engage in provincial outreach and training initiatives. The goal is to prevent research interruptions caused by administrative uncertainty.
Key projects receiving support include:
• An analysis of the biodiversity and genetic connectivity of deep-sea sea urchins in the Argentine Sea. • A study on climate change risks and socio-ecological transitions in the coastal areas of Comodoro Rivadavia and Rada Tilly. • Research regarding the sanitary status of Patagonian sea lion reproductive colonies.
