In Comodoro Rivadavia, which represents roughly 30% of the provincial electorate, political maneuvering is underway as the current mayor, Othar Macharashvili, is ineligible for reelection. The provincial government is reportedly considering potential candidates for the local ticket, including councilman Martín Gómez and physician Julián Petrolito. Discussions involve the possibility of a joint formula to leverage Petrolito's positive reputation and Gómez's political standing within the Despierta Chubut coalition.
