Chubut installs solar energy system at Rawson technical school
The province of Chubut has implemented a solar energy generation system at Escuela Politécnica N° 702 in Rawson, making it the first educational institution in the capital city to utilize solar panels.
The project aims to integrate renewable energy into the educational environment, allowing students to engage directly with clean and sustainable technology. The initiative was a collaborative effort between the provincial government, the Rawson Public Services Cooperative, and the private sector. Companies Multisolar and Portal Solar donated the equipment, while Península Energía y Servicios provided the labor.
The technical setup includes six Trina Solar 545W panels, a Growatt SPF3000TLHVM48 inverter, and a 5120Wh Leoch battery for energy storage. Additionally, the Chubut Ministry of Education and the Rawson Public Services Cooperative signed an agreement to provide training and professional internships to strengthen the technical training of secondary school students.
