Chubut launches provincial HPV prevention plan

The Chubut provincial government has launched a Provincial HPV Plan aimed at strengthening the prevention of cervical cancer. The initiative targets women between the ages of 30 and 65, regardless of whether they have social security coverage.

In collaboration with the Instituto de Seguridad Social y Seguros (ISSyS), the first stage of the program will be implemented at hospitals in Río Senguer, Dolavon, Gaiman, and Esquel. Health Secretary Sergio Wisky stated that the strategy focuses on addressing diseases that cause high rates of premature mortality.
