Chubut launches technological education program to repurpose electronic toys

The Chubut Government, through its Ministry of Education and the Secretariat of Science and Technology, has launched an educational initiative titled ‘Una segunda oportunidad para mi juguete’ (A second chance for my toy). The program is designed to strengthen meaningful learning, creativity, and collaborative work by integrating technology, electronics, and design.

The first workshop is scheduled for September 16 at School No. 728 in Puerto Madryn. It is aimed at technology education teachers for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, with each teacher participating alongside five students. The workshop will follow a practical format where participants repurpose discarded battery-operated toys to give them new utility.

As part of the initiative, a collection campaign for unused electronic toys, joysticks, and mice will be conducted. Once these items are recovered and adapted through the workshop, they will be donated to the community, adding a social solidarity component to the technical training.
