Chubut Ministry of Education and unions agree to expand early childhood classrooms
The Ministry of Education of Chubut held a technical working meeting in Rawson with various teacher unions, including AMET, ATECh, SITRAED, SADOP, and UDA, to discuss the organization of the educational system and teacher career aspects.
A key agreement reached is the progressive opening of one 2-year-old classroom per educational institution starting in the 2027 school year, provided there is sufficient physical space and enrollment. This plan includes adding two early childhood teacher positions for each new classroom and follows the recent universalization of 3-year-old classrooms.
Additionally, the participants unanimously approved a proposal to modify the teacher nomenclator regarding hierarchical positions. The Ministry intends to continue this dialogue to address the complexity of the nomenclator in its entirety.
