Chubut officials attend National Interior Security Council meeting

The Government of Chubut participated in the III National Meeting of the Interior Security Council held in San Juan, Argentina. Led by National Security Minister Alejandra Monteoliva, the meeting brought together security ministers, secretaries, and federal security force representatives from various jurisdictions.

A primary focus of the meeting was the control of unauthorized communications within penitentiary establishments. The initiative aims to prevent the use of mobile phones to organize or facilitate criminal activities from detention centers, thereby strengthening prison controls.

Additionally, the council addressed the mental health and overall well-being of security force members. Discussions centered on prevention, support, and suicide prevention policies, emphasizing the need for better coordination between provincial and national welfare departments to support personnel and their families.
