Chubut opens applications for Escuelas FoCo vocational program
The Chubut Ministry of Education has announced the second stage of the “Escuelas Secundarias con Formación Complementaria” (Escuelas FoCo) program. This phase aims to incorporate 20 new non-technical public secondary schools into the initiative.
Interested institutions must submit their applications by September 4, 2026. Applications must include a justification for the training, identification of the pedagogical staff, and details regarding physical space, schedules, internet access, and available equipment, in accordance with Resolution ME N° 392.
The program is designed to provide 5th and 6th-year students, aged 16 and older, with training linked to the labor market and continued studies. Six schools, one from each educational region in the province, have already participated in the first stage. During the program's official presentation, attended by Governor Ignacio Torres, these initial schools received technological equipment including mini PCs, monitors, 3D printers, and other tools to strengthen their training environments.
