Chubut River cleanup removes 2.5 tons of waste

Approximately 2.5 tons of waste were removed from the Chubut River during a cleanup operation organized by the Club Regatas Rawson. The initiative was supported by the Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Municipality of Rawson.

The cleanup involved participants working from both the shoreline and via boats. The effort saw involvement from local community members, various intermediate institutions, and churches. The Secretariat provided necessary supplies, including gloves and bags, to facilitate the collection process.

Miguel Larrauri, the Secretary of Environment and Sustainable Development, emphasized the importance of community and institutional collaboration in maintaining the river and the city's environment.
