Witchbrook release date set for January 28, 2027

Chucklefish and co-developer Robotality have announced that the highly anticipated magic school life simulator, Witchbrook, will officially launch on January 28, 2027. The announcement was made during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase.

The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. It will also be available on Game Pass from day one.

Set in the seaside town of Mossport, players take on the role of a student at Witchbrook College. The pixel-art RPG features magical classes such as alchemy, astrology, and tarot, alongside social elements like building friendships, pursuing romances, and participating in seasonal events. The title supports online cooperative play for up to four players.

Development of the title has spanned approximately a decade since it was first teased in 2016. While previously aimed for a winter 2025 release, the project faced delays to ensure the game world felt immersive and complete. Pricing and pre-order details have not yet been disclosed.
