Chude Jideonwo explains decision to write will at age 30

Nigerian media personality Chude Jideonwo has shared that he wrote his will in his early 30s to ensure provisions for his mother and the non-governmental organizations he supports.

Speaking on the ‘Beyond With Ezinne’ podcast, Jideonwo explained that the decision stemmed from an intensive journaling practice he began in 2015 following a diagnosis of clinical depression. He noted that journaling allowed him to confront his fears and insecurities, eventually leading him to contemplate mortality and the legacy he wished to leave behind.

Jideonwo also stated that the self-reflection process helped him gain clarity regarding his personal life, including his views on marriage and his decision that he does not wish to have children. He emphasized that he has become more deliberate in his professional life, choosing to engage only in work and opportunities that align with his personal values rather than pursuing tasks solely for financial gain.
