Representative Ogawa stated that while the specific details of the new format are not yet clear, the party intends to aim for the unification of parliamentary groups in the House of Representatives. The leadership expressed regret over the failed three-party merger but reaffirmed their commitment to politics that protects human dignity.

Internal divisions are significant, with reports suggesting that members originally from Komeito may leave the party.
