Chukwuma Eze joins Villarreal B on loan from Real Oviedo
Nigerian defender Chukwuma Eze has completed a season-long loan move from Real Oviedo to Villarreal B for the 2026/27 campaign. The deal includes an option for Villarreal to purchase the 22-year-old centre-back.
Eze, who joined Real Oviedo from Nigeria’s Ajuwa Academy in 2021, recently signed a contract extension with Oviedo that runs until June 2029. The loan move is viewed as a developmental step, allowing the defender to gain experience in the Primera Federación while playing within Villarreal’s academy structure.
Prior to this move, Eze gained experience through loan spells at CD Llanes, L’Entregu CF, and Real Avilés, where he made 18 appearances last season. He made his senior debut for Real Oviedo against Levante in April 2025.
