Chukyo Kinen post positions set for Satono Shining and Lavande

The field and post positions for the 74th Chukyo Kinen (G3) at Chukyo Racecourse have been finalized. Key contenders include Satono Shining, who will start from gate 12 in the 6th stall under jockey Jason Colet, and Lavande, who occupies gate 3 in the 1st stall.

Satono Shining, a former fourth-place finisher in the Japanese Derby, returns from a ten-month hiatus. Observers are focusing on whether the horse can improve its temperament and handle the transition to a 1600m mile distance. Lavande also returns after a three-and-a-half-month break, showing strong conditioning in recent training sessions.

Other notable entries include Namura Cosmos, starting from gate 10 in the 5th stall with a favorable weight of 52kg, ridden by Kanta Taguchi.
