Chung Mong-koo Foundation launches creative arts teacher training

The Chung Mong-koo Foundation held the 'CMK Arts Class 2026 Creative Arts Education Teacher Training' from the 3rd to the 7th at Bloomvista in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The five-day program included 49 elementary school teachers selected from across South Korea and eight mentors from Artis, a British professional creative arts education organization.

The foundation has rebranded its previous 'Ondream Arts Class' to 'CMK Arts Class' to shift from simple knowledge transfer to a leadership program. This initiative aims to foster educators who can research and implement teaching methods that integrate artistic techniques with general academic subjects. The training tracks included new teachers, alumni seeking advanced study, and a Korean mentor track for those learning Artis's mentoring expertise.

Participants engaged in experiential fusion classes using theater, music, and drama. The foundation plans to provide ongoing support through teacher group sessions, workshops, and meet-ups. Exceptional participants may also receive support for overseas training programs to visit and demonstrate creative arts classes at primary schools in the United Kingdom.
