Chungnam Province expands North American market presence and AI cooperation

Chungnam Province and the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency are launching initiatives to strengthen the presence of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the North American market. From October 25 to 31, a market development group consisting of 20 local companies—specializing in food, cosmetics, and industrial goods—will visit New York and Toronto to conduct one-on-one business consultations with local buyers.

In conjunction with these efforts, Governor Park Su-hyeon is conducting a diplomatic and economic mission to the United States. The itinerary includes visiting the New Jersey AI Hub to explore collaborations for building an AI-driven society and meeting with United Nations officials to discuss international AI policy trends. Additionally, the province has signed large-scale investment agreements with three global companies to bolster local industrial competitiveness and job creation.
