Chungnam Province launches youth support center and hosts self-reliance festival
Chungnam Province has officially opened the Chungnam Youth Future Center to provide integrated support for vulnerable youth. The center, managed by the Chungnam Social Service Agency, focuses on identifying and assisting youth facing crises, including those in isolation or seclusion. A specific program for family caregivers, targeting individuals aged 13 to 39 who care for sick family members, will provide a one-time self-care allowance of 2 million won to those meeting income requirements.
In a separate social welfare initiative, the province held the 22nd Chungnam Self-Reliance Festival in Seosan. The event brought together approximately 1,000 participants and workers to encourage low-income individuals pursuing economic independence through various work programs. The festival featured exhibitions of self-reliance products, such as eco-friendly goods and local food items, and provided a platform for networking among regional self-reliance centers.
