Chungnam Province receives presidential citation for top youth policies

Chungnam Province has received a presidential institutional citation for ranking first in a national youth policy evaluation. The award was presented during the ‘2026 Youth Day’ official ceremony held at the Blue House.

The province was recognized for its efforts to expand youth participation in governance and integrate their feedback into provincial administration. Notably, the rate of reflecting youth opinions in actual policies increased from 74% in 2024 to 98% last year through the operation of the Youth Policy Coordination Committee.

Key initiatives contributing to the ranking include expanded financial education for university students and high school seniors to prevent fraud, support for youth entrepreneurship, interest support for housing lease deposits, and the hosting of national youth festivals. Moving forward, the province plans to continue listening to youth voices through measures such as hiring youth policy advisors without specific credential requirements.
