Chunichi Dragons and Yomiuri Giants announce legends match roster

The Chunichi Dragons and Yomiuri Giants have announced the second group of legendary former players who will participate in the ‘LEGENDS MATCH 2026’. The event is scheduled for November 22, 2026, at Vantelin Dome Nagoya.

To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Chunichi Dragons, the match will feature iconic alumni from both clubs. The second list of announced Chunichi players includes Hiroshi Gondo, Masahiro Yamamoto, Motonobu Taniishi, and Kosuke Fukudome. The Yomiuri Giants lineup features Masasumi Kuwata, Naohisa Takahashi, Yoshinobu Takahashi, and Michihiro Ogasawara.

Earlier announcements confirmed the participation of other notable figures such as Kazuyoshi Tatsunami and Kenshin Kawakami for Chunichi, and Kiyoshi Nakahata and Tatsunori Hara for the Giants. Advance ticket sales are set to begin on September 1.
