Chunichi Dragons manager Kazuki Inoue announces resignation

Kazuki Inoue has announced his resignation as manager of the Chunichi Dragons at the conclusion of the current season. Inoue cited the team's poor performance as the primary reason for his decision, noting that the club has struggled with a record of 59 wins, 80 losses, and 2 draws, leaving them at the bottom of the standings.

Chunichi Dragons President Hiromasa Kato confirmed the decision, stating that Inoue expressed his intention to step down due to the team's results. Inoue will remain in charge for the final two games of the season, scheduled to conclude on October 3 against the Yakult Swallows.

The club has begun discussions regarding a successor to lead the team out of its recent period of decline. While official candidates have not been named, discussions are underway to find a leader capable of returning the team to competitive standing. Among former players and observers, there is notable speculation regarding potential candidates, including veteran Hiroshi Gondo, though no formal appointment has been made.
