Chunichi Dragons players Takahashi and Tanaka shine in farm league game

Chunichi Dragons players Shuhei Takahashi and Mikiya Tanaka delivered standout performances during a farm league interleague game against Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club on August 18.

Shuhei Takahashi, a veteran infielder and former Golden Glove winner, hit his first two-run home run of the farm season in the fourth inning. The home run helped extend the Dragons' lead and serves as a strong signal for his potential return to the first-team roster.

Mikiya Tanaka also made a significant impact, recording a running home run in the same inning. Tanaka, known for his speed, finished the game with two hits, one RBI, one walk, and one stolen base. His performance, which included a high-effort sprint to home plate, highlights his efforts to regain his position on the top-tier squad after being removed from the first-team roster in late July.
