Chuo Vision Institute releases cost optimization reports for manufacturing and EC sectors

Chuo Vision Institute has released two new free reports aimed at helping businesses optimize indirect costs. The first report focuses on the manufacturing sector, specifically addressing the challenges of managing cloud computing expenses. It identifies five structural reasons why cloud costs often remain high, such as fragmented contracts across different factories and outdated server capacities that were scaled up for production trials but never adjusted for mass production.

The second report targets EC (E-commerce) and D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) businesses regarding telecommunications expenses. It highlights how automatic contract renewals and the transition of fixed-line telephony to IP networks can lead to unnecessary costs. The report notes that as businesses expand their warehouses and customer service centers, communication contracts often become fragmented and unmonitored, leading to missed opportunities for cost reduction through competitive bidding or updated pricing models.
