Church of Greece to honor Apostle Paul with major June 2026 celebrations

The Church of Greece will mark the feast of the Apostle Paul, its founder, with large-scale liturgical events on 28–29 June 2026. A Great Festive Evening Service will be held at the Cathedral of St. Paul in Corinth on 28 June at 7 p.m., followed by speeches from Metropolitan Chrysanthos of Athens and other metropolitans. Simultaneous services are planned at the Holy Apostle Paul Church in Athens, the Rock of the Areopagus in the ancient Agora, and other diocesan churches, with additional liturgies on 29 June in Corinth.

On 26 June 2026, a series of funeral services are scheduled in Patras, Greece, for several deceased residents. The notices list the names, ages, family members, and the specific churches and cemeteries where the rites will be conducted, including services at the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul Temple, the Holy Trinity of Lakkoma, St. Mina Church in Leukas, and others.
