Churo Díaz hospitalized after falling from stage in Codazzi

Vallenato singer Jorge Iván Díaz, known as ‘Churo’ Díaz, was hospitalized after falling from a stage during a performance in Agustín Codazzi, Cesar. The accident occurred between Saturday night, August 15, and the early hours of Sunday, August 16, during the Festival de Música Vallenata en Guitarra.

Videos circulating on social media show the artist walking backward while performing, losing his balance near the edge of the platform, and falling onto his back. The fall forced the immediate suspension of the concert.

Díaz was transported to a clinic in Valledupar, where he remains under medical observation. While initial reports suggest a possible leg injury or potential fractures to both ankles, an official medical report has not yet been released to confirm his exact condition.
