CHUWI unveils UniBox AI495 Pro AI workstation

CHUWI has introduced the UniBox AI495 Pro, a compact desktop computer designed to run large-scale artificial intelligence models locally. The device aims to enhance data privacy and reduce internet dependency by processing information on-device rather than on external servers.

Powered by the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor, the system features 16 cores and 32 threads with speeds up to 5.2 GHz. It supports up to 192 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 unified memory, with the ability to allocate up to 160 GB specifically for graphics. The hardware is capable of running AI models with up to 300 billion parameters using 4-bit quantization.

The workstation includes an AMD Radeon 8065S integrated GPU based on the RDNA 3.5 architecture and an AMD XDNA 2 NPU providing 55 TOPS of AI processing power. Total AI processing capability is rated at 131 TOPS. Despite its high performance, the unit maintains a small 2.9-liter form factor and includes high-speed connectivity options such as dual 10Gb Ethernet ports, USB4, and Wi-Fi 7.
