Chuy Region celebrates 100th anniversary in Kyrgyzstan

The Chuy region of Kyrgyzstan celebrated its 100th anniversary with various cultural ceremonies and events. A highlight of the festivities in Bishkek was the display of a traditional horse meat sausage, known locally as ‘chuçuk’, which measured over 120 meters in length.

Organizers stated they intend to seek a place in the Guinness World Records for the massive sausage, which was subsequently shared with attendees. The celebrations also featured displays of regional agricultural and industrial products, as well as performances by various ethnic communities living in the Chuy region.

President Sadyr Japarov attended the evening festivities at Ala-Too Square, which included a theatrical production depicting the region's history since its administrative establishment in 1926 during the Soviet era.
