Cia. Cultural EMCANTAR expands arts education tour in Minas Gerais

Cia. Cultural EMCANTAR is expanding its “Abraço no Planeta” (Hug the Planet) project across Minas Gerais. Following performances in 13 public schools in Araguari and Uberlândia, the tour will reach Uberaba, Pará de Minas, Patos de Minas, and Paracatu in September. The program includes performances and workshops for educators.

The project, inspired by director Marco Aurélio Querubim’s eight-year bicycle journey around the world, uses music, poetry, and educational interventions to engage children and adolescents in discussions regarding nature, human coexistence, and socio-environmental challenges.

In Araguari, the “Pedagogia do Encantamento” (Pedagogy of Enchantment) initiative continues for a second consecutive year in municipal full-time education schools. This partnership between the Araguari City Hall and Cia. Cultural EMCANTAR utilizes music, dance, theater, and play to stimulate creativity and social development among students.
