Cia Jovem Basileu França presents ‘Dom Quixote’ in Goiânia

Cia Jovem Basileu França will present a new season of the ballet ‘Dom Quixote’ in Goiânia on October 17 and 18. The performances will take place at the Teatro Escola Basileu França, with sessions scheduled for Saturday at 20:00 and Sunday at 16:00.

Inspired by the work of Miguel de Cervantes, this production features choreography by África Guzmán, a former principal dancer of the National Dance Company of Spain, and artistic direction by Simone Malta. The lead roles will be performed by dancers Jaquelyne Barbieri and Caio Baratella.

This marks the third presentation of this production by the company in 2026, following a debut in May and a performance at the 43rd Joinville Dance Festival in July. The company is part of the Escola do Futuro de Goiás em Artes Basileu França, an institution maintained by the Government of Goiás and managed by the Federal University of Goiás (UFG).
