CIA officers claim purge by Trump administration
Intelligence correspondent Sasha Ingber reported on a gathering in Virginia for LGBTQ officers from the intelligence community who claim to have been “silenced or purged” by the Trump administration. The event, described as a “resignation party soiree” held at a gay karaoke bar, included celebrations for former CIA analyst Julia Curlee, who was the first CIA officer to openly transition and serve until being laid off during President Trump’s second term.
According to Ingber, attendees expressed frustration at being reduced to “DEI” identities rather than being recognized for their professional expertise. The event invitation jokingly referenced a “Deep State plot against the regime.” Ingber noted a sense of “razor-like resoluteness” among those present, who expressed a desire to return to their intelligence roles once the current administration concludes.
