Polizia di Stato launches national road safety campaign
The Polizia di Stato, in collaboration with Fondazione ANIA, Silb Fipe, Sib Fipe, and FederBalneari Italia, has launched a national road safety campaign titled "Questa sera guido io" (Tonight I am driving).
Targeting young people during the summer season, the initiative focuses on popular social hubs such as beaches, nightclubs, and seaside establishments. The core of the campaign is to promote the concept of the "designated driver"—an individual who chooses not to consume alcohol to ensure the safe transport of their friends and companions.
To support this effort, specialized Highway Police will be present in participating venues to engage in dialogue, distribute information, and show educational videos. Participants can also receive free disposable breathalyzers provided by Fondazione ANIA. Additionally, some venues will offer non-alcoholic aperitifs to encourage responsible choices. The campaign aims to transform responsible driving into a widespread social habit.
