Ciampino library faces criticism after storm damage

The new Pier Paolo Pasolini municipal library in Ciampino is facing criticism following heavy storms. The political group Diritti in Comune, represented by counselor Francesca De Rosa, reported that the library roof is leaking water.

De Rosa noted that while the library was not renovated with public funds—instead utilizing extra charges paid by property owners for urban planning variances—the administration did spend 80,000 euros specifically to repair the roof. The group criticized the administration for prioritizing promotional activities over addressing the structural issues caused by recent severe weather.
