Ciara Miller condemns Love Island trolls, defends Aftersun hosting

Reality‑TV personality Ciara Miller, co‑host of "Love Island USA: Aftersun" with Tefi Pessoa, publicly rebuked social‑media trolls targeting her and the show. Miller said she draws on her experience as a Black woman in reality TV to advocate for contestants, especially Black islanders, and urged critics to "sit the f‑k down."

Miller and Pessoa said their aim with Aftersun is to humanise the islanders, giving them a space to discuss their experience beyond the edited show. The revamped format has already boosted viewership, with the first episodes posting a 144% increase over the previous season's ratings, indicating growing audience interest.

Both hosts emphasized their commitment to supporting participants after they leave the island, describing the show as a safe “glam dining room” for former contestants to share their stories.
