CIB Egypt to invest up to 2 billion EGP in MNT-Halan IPO

CIB Egypt has signed a major investment agreement with MNT Tech Holding for Financial Investments (MNT-Halan) and MNT Investments B.V. The bank has committed to purchasing shares as part of an international offering related to MNT-Halan’s planned listing on the Egyptian Exchange.

The total investment value is expected to reach 2 billion Egyptian pounds. This move is intended to support leading Egyptian companies with high growth potential and strengthen CIB’s presence in the financial services and capital markets sectors.

Amr El-Ganainy, Deputy CEO of CIB Egypt, noted that the investment supports the non-banking financial sector and promotes the diversification of financing mechanisms in Egypt, particularly through fintech and digital applications. Mounir Nakhla, Founder and CEO of MNT-Halan, welcomed the bank as a shareholder, stating that CIB’s market expertise will be highly valuable for the company’s next phase of growth.
