CIBC launches AI AdvisorAssist platform to streamline banking advisory work

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) announced the national rollout of CIBC AdvisorAssist, a proprietary generative‑AI solution that captures meeting notes, summarizes discussions and automates follow‑up documentation. The tool is designed to cut administrative time for financial advisors by up to 50%, allowing them to focus more on client conversations while meeting regulatory compliance requirements.

AdvisorAssist is part of CIBC’s broader AI suite, which includes the CRTeX insight engine, the DocuMind document‑intelligence platform that processes about 63,000 documents a month, and the Voice Assistant that has handled over 16 million calls since its 2025 launch. Executives highlighted the platform’s internally built, scalable architecture and the collaboration among advisors, technology, compliance and regulatory teams.
