CIBI Information Inc. recognized for advancing financial inclusion in the Philippines

CIBI Information Inc. (CIBI), the first credit bureau in the Philippines, has been named one of Asia’s Most Influential Companies at the ACES Awards 2026. The recognition follows the company's expansion from a traditional credit bureau into a comprehensive data and intelligence partner.

Since 2024, CIBI’s data infrastructure has enabled 10.1 million first-time borrowers in the Philippines to establish formal credit profiles. By utilizing alternative data scoring and acting as an accredited Special Assessing Entity of the Credit Information Corporation (CIC), the bureau helps financial institutions manage risks while increasing access for the unbanked population.

Under the leadership of President and CEO Pia Arellano, CIBI has diversified its services to include identity verification, employment background checks, and business verification. To combat digital risks, the company launched the Fraud Intelligence Data Sharing (FIDS) Network and established CIBI University to promote financial literacy and responsible borrowing among Filipino consumers.
