Cicârlău to host 24th Vasile Lucaciu National Literature Festival

The 24th edition of the ‘Vasile Lucaciu’ National Literature Festival is scheduled to take place in Cicârlău, Maramureș, on November 28–29. The event is designed to promote Romanian literature and support emerging literary talents.

Aspiring authors who have not yet published a book are invited to submit original poetry or prose for consideration. Submissions must include 10 poems and/or 10 pages of prose. A jury composed of writers and representatives from literary magazines in northwestern Romania will evaluate the works to award seven prizes, including a Grand Prize valued at 1,000 lei. Winners will receive diplomas, cash, books, and opportunities for publication in prestigious literary journals. The organizers will provide accommodation and meals for the winners during the festival.
