Ciechanowiec to host conference on cultural heritage protection

A national conference titled ‘Future of the Past – Heritage in Danger’ is scheduled to take place on September 25-26 at the Museum of Agriculture in Ciechanowiec. The event aims to facilitate discussion regarding the protection of both material and immaterial cultural heritage, with a specific focus on wooden architecture commonly found in open-air museums.

Organizers noted that the conference is part of the broader European Heritage Days 2026 initiative. Participants will include museum directors and staff from various Polish institutions. Partnering museums for the event include the Museum of Agriculture, the Podlaskie Center for Folk Culture in Wasilków, and the Adam Chętnik Kurpie Culture Museum in Nowogród.
