Ciechocinek historic railway station to undergo 19 million PLN renovation

Polish State Railways (PKP) has signed an agreement with Warsaw-based firm SKB LDR to conduct a comprehensive reconstruction of the historic railway station in Ciechocinek. The investment, valued at 19 million PLN gross, is scheduled for completion by mid-2028.

The renovation will include replacing the roof, windows, doors, and internal installations, while restoring the building's historical facade. To improve accessibility, the station will be modified to remove architectural barriers for seniors, people with disabilities, and parents with children. The facility is also expected to feature a new waiting room and a restaurant.

During the signing ceremony, Infrastructure Minister Dariusz Klimczak noted that the project is a continuation of efforts to reintegrate the city into the national rail network. While construction is underway, passengers will use a temporary station.
