Cienciano prepares for Liga 1 and Copa Sudamericana fixtures

Cienciano is preparing for multiple upcoming football fixtures, including a domestic match in Peru's Liga 1 and a continental clash in the Copa Sudamericana.

In Liga 1, Cienciano will face FC Cajamarca at the Héroes de San Ramón stadium. FC Cajamarca enters the match following a 3-2 victory over Comerciantes Unidos, while Cienciano seeks to recover from a recent 1-2 loss against Cusco FC.

On the international stage, Cienciano is set to face Montevideo City Torque in the Copa Sudamericana quarterfinals. The first leg will take place at the Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega on September 10, with the return leg scheduled for September 17 at the Centenario in Montevideo. Cienciano coach Horacio Melgarejo expressed confidence regarding the tournament, noting that despite having the lowest budget among the eight quarterfinalists, the team is prepared to compete against any opponent, including a potential final against Boca Juniors.
