Cienfuegos hosts forum to promote tourism investment in Cuba

The La Perla del Sur Investment Forum is currently being held in Cienfuegos, Cuba, to promote tourism investment opportunities in the region. The event features approximately 240 participants, including representatives from five embassies, 35 Cuban and foreign companies, and 22 private enterprises. Additionally, about 30 tour operators and CEOs are participating virtually from various nations.

During the forum, a portfolio of regional opportunities was presented, highlighting 10 specific hotel projects. Officials noted that the event is among the first held following the implementation of 176 economic and social transformations on the island. The forum aims to diversify market sources and attract foreign capital amid financial limitations and US sanctions.

Cienfuegos is positioned as an attractive destination due to its natural and cultural assets, including a historic center recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Local authorities emphasized the city's unique combination of historical hotels and natural landscapes to draw international interest.
