CIFTIS highlights rising demand for overseas expansion services
At the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) held in Beijing, the theme of enterprises expanding overseas has become a central focus. For the first time, the event established a dedicated “Overseas Service” zone and a promotion roadshow area, gathering over 60 companies specializing in finance, law, accounting, human resources, and intellectual property to support Chinese businesses entering global markets.
As companies move beyond simple product exports toward providing integrated solutions—including AI, robotics, and digital culture—they face increasing complexities. Key challenges identified include regulatory compliance, geopolitical risks, talent shortages, and data security. To address these, organizations like China Pacific Insurance have partnered with Control Risks to provide integrated insurance and risk management solutions, covering everything from security assessments to emergency evacuations.
Financial and human resource institutions are also scaling up support. Bank of China has introduced comprehensive service plans for cross-border settlement and international cooperation, while human capital groups are offering risk screening for local labor laws and digital platforms for global payroll management. Experts note that while Southeast Asia remains a primary growth region, markets in Africa and the Middle East are presenting new opportunities for Chinese expansion.
