CIGNO to perform new album in Cosenza

Musician Diego Cignitti, performing under the project name CIGNO, will present his new album, ‘Buonanotte Berlinguer’, at the Auditorium Popolare in Cosenza on Saturday, September 19.

The album serves as the conclusion of a trilogy that began with ‘Morte e pianto rituale’ in 2022 and ‘Nada! Nada! Nada!’ in 2023. The musical style blends various genres, including post-punk, psychedelia, industrial rhythms, electronic music, and techno, while incorporating ethnic instruments and choral elements. The lyrical content explores spiritual, political, ethical, and social themes, touching on concepts of anarchy and communism.

The live performance is described as a spectacle that utilizes non-conventional instruments to create atypical sounds, such as steel drums, pneumatic hammers, iron chains, wrenches, and alarm sirens.
