Cihangir Pehlivan wins U12 Turkey Fencing Championship

Cihangir Pehlivan, an 11-year-old athlete from Samsun, has won the U12 Turkey Fencing Championship in the men's sabre category. Pehlivan began fencing approximately four to five years ago following the recommendation of his uncle, fencing coach Engin Kılıç.

In addition to his fencing success, Pehlivan is a striker at the Samsunspor Football Academy. He expressed his ambition to pursue a professional career in either fencing or football. His coach and uncle, Engin Kılıç, stated that they aim to support Pehlivan's training with the long-term goal of reaching the Olympics.
